TikTok Shopify Integration: TikTok is moving into ecommerce
Shopify announced a partnership with TikTok by adding organic product discovery and shopping tabs on Tiktok. This Shopify TikTok partnership would benefit both Shopify merchants and creators by allowing TikTok users to buy directly from TikTok.
Shopify merchants need to create a TikTok account for their business. And on this account, they can add a shopping tab and can sync their product catalogues to create a mini-storefront that directly links to their online store for checkout. At the moment, the TikTok Shopping pilot is open to Shopify merchants in the US and UK. This feature will be rolled out to other regions in the coming months.
Social commerce represents TikTok as one of the popular and fastest-growing social media platforms to grow businesses. So it would be a great opportunity for all Shopify merchants to boost their business by reaching out to consumers with TikTok shopping. Kylie Jenner said, “I built my business on social media; it’s where my fans go first to look for what’s new from Kylie Cosmetics”.
“TikTok is uniquely placed at the center of content and commerce, and these new solutions make it even easier for businesses of all sizes to create engaging content that drives consumers directly to the digital point of purchase. We’re thrilled to be expanding our partnership with Shopify and making TikTok more accessible than ever for their merchants”, said Blake Chandlee, President of Global Business Solutions at TikTok.
